Her mother Cynthia Louise Bissett, is vice president of Verizon's mobile operator. Cynthia Louise Bissett was the Vice Director of Verizon's Mobile Network. Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. Director and businessman of an internet-based network was her father. Born into the context of a Catholic family her family was raised in Manhattan's Upper East Side. For this reason her parents put her into the Convent of the Sacred Heart an elitist and religious school. From the time she was a child she's been a lover of music. She began to play piano at a very early age and composed her first solo song when she was thirteen. Open mic nights were her absolute favorite. Her top singers were queens Michael Jackson Madonna and David Bowie. After completing high school, she enrolled in the Tisch School of Art at New York University to study music. But she did not pursue her studies, and instead she quit the school to begin her music career.
